Tyler was our first male greyhound. We adopted him as a playmate for Wren, and they ended up being close and loved to play with each other. He was like a romantic figure: tall, dark, and handsome, and the strong and silent type. Most of the time he was very calm and laid-back, usually relaxing on one of our couches. But if you jangled a leash, he would come running and would dance excitedly at the prospect of going for a walk. He also enjoyed chasing after tennis balls at the dog park or in the backyard. He would show his affectionate side by leaning up against anyone who was petting him.
Sadly, he was afflicted by cancer during the fall of 2006 and we had to send him to the Rainbow Bridge on November 6, 2006. During his three years with us, he got to see much of the country (28 states and both oceans) on our camping trips. We will always remember him.
